Never one to stay in her comfort zone, and as driven to experience new destinations, cultures and environments as she is to breathe and sleep, D.C.-area native Stacy Luks established Flourish Travel to share her passion and expertise with clients seeking to grow, recharge and re-frame their perspectives through intentionally planned journeys away from home.
Living and working for 10 years in Australia and traveling extensively in the Asian region, she experienced firsthand how differently other cultures regard their time, work, relaxation and vacation. Thus her acute awareness of current US workplace trends like leaving precious vacation time on the table, and the consequent price paid by individuals, families and employers in burnout, stress, health problems, lost productivity, and the opportunity costs of missing treasured moments of stillness, reflection and memory-creating with precious family and friends.
Stacy’s travel consulting work follows careers in corporate finance and non-profit/organizational development. She is a sharp listener, engaging clients as a true collaborator. Her own frequent travels and those she’s been privileged to plan span six continents. Enduring favorite destinations – 2nd home Australia aside – include Spain, Morocco, Italy, Malaysia, Vietnam, New Zealand, Peru, and French Polynesia. On her bucket list: South Africa, Chile, Bhutan, and return trips to Japan and Indonesia.
Outside of travel Stacy is a wife and mom, politics junkie, community volunteer, Pilates enthusiast and olive oil hobbyist. She proudly serves on the board of Nature Camp, celebrating its 75th anniversary of providing life-changing environmental education to youth in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.
